- Payment metadata: transaction records handled securely by our payment processor, Stripe.
- Technical logs: IP addresses, browser types, and standard web logs necessary for platform security and debugging.
2. How we use your information
We collect and use your personal information to:
- Publish requests without an account and create or manage an account when you choose to register.
- Match homeowners with verified local businesses and suppliers.
- Process bookings, send notifications, and facilitate payments.
- Prevent fraud and maintain the integrity of our platform.
- Comply with legal obligations, including Québec’s Law 25.
3. Sharing with professionals and processors
We do not sell your personal information. We only share data when necessary to deliver our services:
- Service providers: we share necessary job details with screened local businesses you actively engage with. We display the area you entered and keep the location data used for matching internal; your phone is shared only after you accept a quote.
- Processors: we utilize trusted third-party processors (such as Supabase for database hosting, Stripe for payments, and automated email providers) who act under strict confidentiality contracts.
4. Automated intake and AI processing
When you use the request assistant, your job description and any photos you attach are transmitted to our configured AI service provider to extract structured request details.
- Purpose: identify the requested service and collect only the details needed to prepare and route the request.
- Review: you can review and correct contact, schedule, scope, and request information before publishing.
- Data minimization: do not include unrelated sensitive information in descriptions or photos.
5. Cookies and tracking
- Essential cookies: required to keep you signed in, maintain security, and remember your language preferences (EN/FR).
- Analytics cookies: used to help us understand platform usage. These will only load if you provide explicit, opt-in consent.
